KEBUN BATU (Rock Gardens)

Located just an easy 5-minute snorkel from the Dive Centre, Kebun Batu is a good shore dive during the day that turns into an excellent night dive. A large monolith rises up to within 4 metres of the surface, while its western side steps down to a garden of hard and soft corals as well as a variety of sponges. The transition between day and night on this small reef is amazing, with the appearance of various species of lionfish, sea cucumbers, crayfish, decorator crabs, and nudibranchs. Kebun Batu is also a good site for snorkeling, with good-sized snappers, sweetlips, and angelfish to be seen.
