KEBUN CHRIS (Chris' Garden)

Previously an area for collecting aquarium fish (using destructive fishing methods), Chris' Garden really demonstrates the results of protection, hard work, and care by divers in an effort to restore this to one of the best shore dives around. Just 20 metres from the Dive Centre, this reef is a favorite for macro photographers, with its wide selection of unusual subjects including (and of course not limited to) lionfish, pipefish, glass shrimp, juvenile fish, and young colourful corals. A good spot to refresh your water skills after not having dived for a while, it is also an excellent third dive of the day and a good night dive.This is an excellent area for snorkeling as well as a calm location for an introductory dive.

Best Depths: 2 to 15 metres.
Visibility: 5 to 15 metres, average 10 metres.
