Getting to Pemuteran
Strange, but it seems that many divers have the opinion that you can only find a good dive-site after a long, arduous trip. In a way, here in Bali, that’s true. However, once you’ve traveled the 3 – 4 hour drive from Denpasar, via one of the many scenic routes, to here, you can relax. Once here, the longest trip to a dive site (Menjangan Island) is only a 1 hour comfortable cruise along the north west coast by our 17m dive vessel, the Reef Spirit. The rest of the dive sites start from the shore or with a 5 - 10 minute boat ride.

Best way to get here is to let us know and we can organize a pick up from the airport or your hotel for you. Cost (as of Feb 08) is just IDR455,000 – about US$50. These drivers will know the best way to come, normally via Bedugal in the mountains, thru Munduk to Seririt and then 30kms along the north coast to find us here in Pemuteran. Other ways to come here are via Singaraja, Pupuan or along the west coast via Negara. This west coast is a good route to head back to Denpasar if you have not had a days rest and degassing after your dives since it does not head into the mountains and altitude.

You can also hire a taxi or driver at the airport (fixed price) or negotiate with one from your hotel or the side of the road anywhere, but be careful to check the quality of the vehicle and fix a price before getting in. Most are quite reliable but there are a few who like to take advantage of tourists.
